The Steelers lost to the Ravens, but Mike Tomlin needs to sound the alarm immediately. His team has fallen into a pattern of losing close games and is now in danger of missing the playoffs. The Steelers are 1-2 since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement announcement, and it’s time for Tomlin to make changes.
The najee harris is a running back for the Atlanta Falcons. On Sunday, he broke the NCAA Division I-A single-game rushing record with 408 yards on just 36 carries, which is an average of 12.1 yards per carry.
The situation for Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers is worse. Mike Tomlin and his squad have some explaining to do after yet another dismal defeat. Big Ben’s poor performance overshadowed Najee Harris’s franchise record-breaking performance.
The Steelers are now in shame, and something has to be done right away.
After winning their first game, the Steelers have lost their last two.
The Pittsburgh Steelers of 2021 are a long cry from the squad that finished the regular season with a 12-4 record in 2020.
After defeating Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on the road, Pittsburgh gave supporters a cause to cheer. However, the Week 1 win is beginning to seem to be a ruse.
In Week 2, the Steelers were severely outplayed by the unexpectedly strong Las Vegas Raiders, losing 26-17. The Cincinnati Bengals, their AFC North opponents, crushed them the next week.
On the attacking side of the ball, the club seems to have the greatest problems. Despite selecting Najee Harris in the first round, they are unable to run the ball. This squad isn’t designed to grind and pound, thanks to significant alterations on the offensive line. That isn’t typical of a Steelers squad.
The passing game has also fallen short of expectations. Against the Bengals, Ben Roethlisberger was sacked four times and never got anything going.
Big Ben threw two interceptions in addition to 318 passing yards and a touchdown. The Steelers’ season will be cut short if their offensive does not improve.
Mike Tomlin must decide what to do with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Ben Roethlisberger has given the Pittsburgh Steelers 18 years of his life. The company loves him, but it’s difficult to sugarcoat what’s going on here.
Big Ben isn’t working properly. He’s not the same guy that once commanded the Steelers’ attack. He no longer has the agility to prolong plays, something he used to excel at.
Roethlisberger’s decision-making has also been questioned, resulting in him taking needless sacks and throwing three interceptions so far in 2021.
Sure, Big Ben isn’t to blame for everything. The offensive line is terrible, and the receiving corps has been hurt, including Diontae Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Even so, the six-time Pro Bowler must improve.
Roethlisberger has the duty of elevating the performance of those around him as the team’s leader. He’s played alongside less talented players in the past. That justification is faulty.
Mike Tomlin will have to think about it immediately. Do you put Big Ben on the bench? It’s an interesting idea, but Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins don’t exactly exude confidence. Putting them in this position may make things worse.
However, it’s hard to see Tomlin allowing Ben Roethlisberger to play this way for the whole 17-game season.
Nobody cares that Najee Harris set a new record.
You can’t help but feel sorry for Najee Harris. In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Steelers chose him with the No. 24 overall selection out of Alabama. Harris joined the NFL with great expectations after being dubbed the top running back in the draft class.
After a shaky start to the season, the Martinez, California native turned in his finest performance yet. With 14 catches on the day, he set a club record for receiving yards by a running back. He had 102 receiving yards at the end of the game.
Harris failed to find success rushing the ball despite his prowess in the throwing game. The Alabama product is a phenomenal back in every way, but the offensive line isn’t helping him out.
Maurkice Pouncey retired, while free agents Alejandro Villanueva and Matt Feiler departed. The Steelers now seem to have a patchwork offensive line.
The main problem is the offensive line. Ben Roethlisberger is also a problem for Pittsburgh, and one for which they don’t seem to have a solution.
Mike Tomlin is a no-nonsense coach who despises losing. Well, if the Steelers keep doing what they’re doing, he’ll be doing a lot of losing in 2021.
